Like many successful startups, the entrepreneurial journey for Sara Blakely began with a problem. A problem, by the way, that was shared by millions of women.

Here’s the quick backstory: Blakely was getting ready for a party when she noticed that her butt didn’t look good in her white jeans. Uh, things needed to be smoothed out, if you will.

But, how?

Well, wherever there’s a problem and a good question, solutions eventually emerge. Her solution was to take a garment she already had, a pair of hosiery, and cut the feet off of the bottom.

It worked.

Now, Blakely had a new problem: how to get this genius idea and product into the hands of the millions of women who experiences the same issue daily?

Blakely was a salesperson working for Xerox and not a seasoned entrepreneur. In fact, she knew nothing about business. But, she found the entrepreneur inside and started pitching her new product to anyone who would listen.

During such a pitch to a¬†Niemen Marcus representative, Blakely realized that she was losing her. The representative just couldn’t see the vision.

So, Blakely did what all great entrepreneurs do: she improvised by inviting the representative into a dressing room for a demo. She tried on the garment. Niemen Marcus ordered 3,000 pair that day.

Eventually media powerhouse Oprah Winfrey became a customer and fan. The rest, as they say, is history.

Today, Blakely is a billionaire.

And, just think, it began with a simple problem and a small amount of money.

Now, you.

Do you find yourself consistently¬†becoming frustrated with the same problem? Yeah, that’s a clue. If you’re experiencing it, there are probably millions of others who are experiencing it as it.

Awaken the entrepreneur inside and solve it.

Let’s go!
